The 2026 FIA Formula Regional European Championship takes drivers across the most iconic circuits in European motorsport — venues that have hosted Formula 1, Formula 2 and World Endurance Championship events for decades. Each weekend is a test of versatility: from the high-speed sweeps of Spa-Francorchamps to the technical challenge of the Hungaroring, from the heritage of Monza to the modern flow of Zandvoort.
The season opens at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg (Austria) on 24-26 April, then moves to Zandvoort (Netherlands), Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium), Monza (Italy), the Hungaroring (Hungary), Circuit Paul Ricard (France), Imola (Italy), and concludes at Hockenheim (Germany) on 11-13 September.
Four of the eight events feature an enhanced format with three races per weekend including a reversed-grid race — a first in the championship's history, designed to prepare drivers for the format used in FIA Formula 3. Each race is broadcast live with full timing data available on the FIA platform.
Each weekend includes free practice on Friday, qualifying on Saturday morning, and races on Saturday and Sunday. Standard weekends feature two races; enhanced weekends include a third reversed-grid race where the top 12 from qualifying are reversed to form the grid. Points are awarded to the top 10 in each race.
